Key Stage

This is a wide scope audit process designed to capture, baseline and articulate information relating to the existing "in scope" environment.  Key Elements typically include:    
  • Full assessment of "As-Is" environment in terms of design, capability, resilience, performance, metrics, documentation, operations process, risk and known problems  
  • Commercial audit to capture budget criteria, contractual detail, license compliance, regulatory environment and counterparty or partner details.
  • Human resource assessments, leadership and stakeholder meetings & roundtables.  


Understand Existing Environment

This is an iterative process designed to identify the business, operational and functional requirements that need to be supported within the network infrastructure on a going forward basis.   The effort typically encompasses:    
  • Articulating how the overarching business or organizational plan, the application landscape, planned transformation or structural change, expansion, contraction or market conditions, shape the operational requirement for network infrastructure.
  • Gap analysis to identify delta between capability and requirement together with solution design and environment optimization planning.
  • Development of a comprehensive Roadmap to align functionality, resources and timelines.



This is the continuing operations component where change defined in the Roadmap is implemented, day-to-day operations are supported and the infrastructure adapted or upgraded to meet the changing needs of its users.      
  • Changes, upgrades and architecture transformation defined in the Roadmap planning exercise are implemented in accordance with the agreed timeline.
  • The infrastructure is operated in accordance with the Resource Plan.  A formal quarterly review process is initiated as part of a continuous improvement plan.  
  • Architecture, Information Security, Project Management and Leadership resources are engaged in the wider application development process as required.
